Glastonbury Festival Opens Gates To Sunshine
Revellers pour into site as one of the world's biggest parties gets under way...
The gates have opened at this year's Glastonbury Festival and the revellers have begun their revelry.
Thousands of ticket holders have already been admitted to Worthy Farm in Somerset, where the UK's biggest pop festival is held.
Excited fans ran through the gates at 8am this morning, keen to secure a good camping spot while the weather stayed fine.
And so far the rain appears to have held off - although canny guests were packing wellies and waterproofs because dampness is forecast later in the week and heavy downpours are expected at the weekend.
Running until Sunday, the festival will see acts including Arcade Fire, Metallica, Kasabian, Dolly Parton, Paolo Nutini and The Black Keys entertain the 170,000-odd visitors.
We told you recently that Prince was reported to be in talks to play a surprise gig on a minor stage at the festival.
