Glastonbury Festival Sells Out In Record Time
Tickets for 2014 event snapped up in less than one-and-a-half hours...
Tickets for next year's Glastonbury Festivalhave sold out in record time today.
All 127,000 tickets which went on sale at 9am this morning had been snapped up by eager music fans just one hour and 27 minutes later.
They were priced at £210, plus a £5 booking fee - a £10 rise on this year's tickets.
Organisers Michael and Emily Eavis took to Twitter to tell fans when the tickets had all gone - and to thank them.
They wrote: "We genuinely try to make the ticket system as fair as it can be, but when demand outstrips supply, it is an unfortunate inevitability that some people will be left disappointed."
They thanked fans for the "incredible support" and added: "We really don't take it for granted and we are exceedingly fortunate to have that loyalty."
The line-up for next year's festival has not yet been announced, but David Bowie, The Foo Fighters and Fleetwood Mac have all been rumoured.
Mumford & Sons closed the festival this year.
