Glastonbury Goes Supernova
This years Glastonbury Festival is looking like being the biggest and most exclusive yet
Glastonbury guru Michael Eavis has announced plans to expand this year's Glastonbury Festival, making an extra 25,000 tickets and 100 acres available for the event.
This would make the event a staggering 1,200 acre, 137,000 people uber-festival.
To cope with all the extra noise he's supplying local residents with new sound equipment so they won't be disturbed.
The proposal is currently with the local Mendip District Council, so we'll keep you posted!
Confirmed, however, is a new pre-registration scheme that will manage ticket sales for the festival.
Under the scheme, people who want tickets will need to register their contact details along with a passport sized photograph before the booking tickets. The registration period runs throughout February 2007 and registration can be made online or by post.
Even with so much still unconfirmed we're butt-clenchingly excited already!
If all goes to plan the event should take place on June 22-24 " which is just a day after midsummer's day so everyone hold your hands up high and pray, 'No rain!'
