Glasto Is Coming Live To Your Living Room

NO BIGGIE...

Ok, we’re done pretending. We’re jealous. We’re jealous of everyone that went to Glasto.

It was pretty amazing, right? We could sit in front of our TVs denying it, gloating about our delicious Chinese takeaways and listing reasons why we were happier at home to whoever would listen. We could say things like, “Gosh, the queue to get in was long wasn’t it!”, and “Can you imagine the state of the toilets?!” and even “I’m SO glad to have a nice warm bed to sleep in tonight”... but there’s no denying it. We were bitter to miss out.

It wasn’t just the music that blew everyone away. In the midst of the chaotic uncertainty following Brexit, artists at Glasto really pulled it together, preaching about unity and love triumphing over all.

That’s why it has been made into a CD.

Oxfam has released a Glastonbury Live album, and Glasto artists have each chosen one song from their set to feature. It’s part of Oxfam’s latest campaign called ‘Stand As One’, which works towards helping refugees to stay safe and avoid separation from their families.

While 75% of the proceedings will go to Oxfam, 25% will go to the Jo Cox Fund, and that money will be split between 3 of Jo’s favourite charities. She did loads for refugee campaigns and was a fierce supporter of Oxfam, so the whole album has been dedicated to her as a tribute.

The album features performances by Fatboy Slim, Two Door Cinema Club, The 1975, Laura Mvula, Years & Years and many more… we can’t wait to hear it.

And we won’t have to wait long because it'll be available from 29th July! So we recommend buying it, downloading it onto your phones/ ipods, lying in a dark room with your eyes shut and pretending you were there. Or remember being there if you were one of the lucky ones.

Peace and love, guys. Peace and love.
