Glastonbury On The Hunt
We were there as organisers searched for the next big thing...
Glastonbury founders Michael and Emily Eavis have launched a new night which sets out to find the best new acts around to play at next years festival.
The first Holy Cow night, taking place at The Social in London, saw Alexander Wolfe, The Courteeners Liam and New Yorkers Vampire Weekend opening and have already setting the bar ridiculously high.
"We're really after unsigned acts and finding the best new acts from all corners of the country and beyond said Emily the aim is to collect as many new bands as possible throughout the year"
Humble headliners Vampire Weekend where just chuffed people recognised them: It was so cool at one of our first main gigs in London we saw people actually singing along and knowing the words, we also couldnt get over the hundreds of Jack Penate look-a-likes
The next leg of the event is set to take place in December youd be an absolute dupe to miss it. Acts wanting to appear at Holy Cow should contact organisers via Holy Cow's MySpace site HERE www.myspace.com/vampireweekend
