Glastonbury Sold Out

Last years Jay-z drama may have paid off

Nearly five months before the festival is due to commence Glastonbury 2009 tickets are officially sold out even though no headliners have been confirmed!

Current rumours suggest that the legendary Boss Bruce Springsteen may headline alongside recently reformed Brit poppers Blur.

Its the first time that organisers used an early ticket deposit scheme, launched October 2008, the majority of fans completed their payments by the deadline of 1 February.

Although last years festival didnt sell out in time for its opening, the choice of Jay-z as a headliner caused a media storm dividing opinions from both artists and public.

Comments by Noel Gallagher sparked a brief rivalry with the Brooklyn MC causing many indie bands, rappers and popstars to choose sides. In terms of publicity this was a very smart move.

There still may be a chance for any late comers as any cancelled or returned tickets will be re-sold on 5 April. Glastonbury Festival runs from 26-28 June at Somersets Worthy Farm.
