Glastonbury Tickets Sell Out In Less Than Half An Hour

Eager fans snap up 120,000 tickets in just 27 minutes...

The tickets for next year's Glastonbury Festival have sold out in just 27 minutes this morning.

All 120,000 tickets were snapped up by registered fans shortly after they went on sale online at 9am.

Organiser Emily Eavis broke the bad news to fans who were still trying to buy them at 9.28am.

She tweeted: "We have sold out, thank you to everyone for supporting us and I'm sorry to those of you who have missed out."

And she added shortly afterwards: "I'm sorry to everyone who missed out, so wish we could get everyone in. There will be a resale in the spring."

We have sold out, thank you to everyone for supporting us and i'm sorry to those of you who have missed out.

The website must have been improved since last year, when it took fans a whopping one hour and 27 minutes to snap up all the tickets - which was then a record!
