U2 Confirmed To Headline Glastonbury

Get ready for an extravagant show from the Irish legends…

U2 have been confirmed as headliners for Glastonbury Festival 2010.
The group will play the famous Pyramid stage on Friday June 27 as the 40th ever Glasto kicks off.
A statement from farmer and festival boss Michael Eavis said: “The 26-year-old rumour has finally come true. At last, the biggest band in the world are going to play the best festival in the world.
“Nothing could be better for our 40th anniversary party. And there are even more surprises in the pipeline…”
U2’s promoter had earlier leaked the news on Twitter. No other acts have yet been confirmed for the Somerset event though David Bowie and The Rolling Stones have been rumoured.
