Coldplay Say Yes To Glee

After initially refusing the show their songs…

Coldplay have said they will let their songs be used in hit show Glee.

The musical-comedy has so far used songs by Duffy, Lady GaGa, Amy Winehouse, Journey , Madonna and Beck in their episodes.
But the show creator Ryan Murphy has said that initially Coldplay and solo star Bryan Adams were sceptical.
He explained: “At the beginning, a lot of people didn't know what we were and asked to see pages (in advance), but I refused because I didn't want to set precedent of them having any involvement.
“My favourite rejection was Bryan Adams. Coldplay and Bryan Adams were really the only rejections. But Coldplay called a week ago and said, 'We're sorry, you can have our catalogue.'”
The first season of the show finished on UK TV last night with Murphy and the writers now prepping the second run.
Expect some emotional scenes featuring some Coldplay classics when the show returns!
