Glee Star "Lucky To Be Alive" After Drug Problems
Cory Monteith a.k.a Finn has revealed all about his dark past...
The 29-year old hunk, who plays footballer Finn Hudson in Glee, claims that when he was just thirteen years old, he used to bunk off school, get drunk and smoke pot.
During an interview with Parade magazine, Monteith admitted that he feels "lucky to be alive", confessing to the publication: "I burned a lot of bridges. I was out of control. I had a serious problem, anything and everything as much as possible.”
Cory added that his mother and a group of friends feared he "could die" and urged him to check into rehab when he was 19-years old.
The Gleek recalled: "I did the stint but went back to doing exactly what I left off doing. I stole a significant amount of money from a family member. I knew I was going to get caught. It was a cry for help. I said, ‘Yeah, it was me.’ It was the first truthful thing out of my mouth in years.”
Monteith then stated that his life has changed so much since seeking help, explaining: "I'll go out, but I leave early, before the shenanigans. I don't really do the Hollywood party thing. I'd rather watch sports or play videogames or work out or sleep, to be totally honest."
