Glee Stars To Stay On Show As Teachers?
And the show’s creator vows never to talk about characters’ exits again...
"I will never again say people are leaving. It just snowballed. It took a turn and got nasty... I think fans resented it," he said. "I have learned my lesson. Never again will you hear me say that."
Ryan hinted some of the show’s best-loved stars could remain on the show after they graduate, possibly as teachers. "I would never do Glee: The College Years, but I think there's very organic ways that you can keep [the stars] on the show and keep them big and keep the audience invested in them," he said.
The writer promised the third season would be better than the last, when he had been preoccupied organising the tour, 3D movie and The Glee Project reality show. "Last year, to be honest, was a new thing for me," he said. "I had run television shows before, but I had never run a business like that. It's a great honour and it was a great thrill, but it's a weird thing to run a TV show and design a tour and be on a reality show and be doing a movie.
"This year, the idea was OK, let's just deal with the show," Ryan said. "I've loved it. I sort of have my passion for it back."
