Goodbye Glee! Last EVER Episode Aired, And It’s Emotional

Last episode pays a touching tribute to Cory Monteith...

SPOILER ALERT: The story below reveals details of the last ever episode of Glee.

After six amazing years – and lots of ups and downs – Glee has finally come to an end. And if you haven’t seen it yet, you better get your hankies ready!

Fans were treated to an hour-long recap episode, revealing how New Directions were originally formed in 2009, with some amazing flashback moments and a touching tribute to Cory Monteith.

The second hour starts with Will, Blaine, Kurt and Rachel waiting to hear if New Directions have won the 2015 National Show Choir Championships.

Of course, they take home the prize (well the episode is called Dreams Come True). As a result, McKinley is made into a performing arts school with Will as its principal. And Sam gets a new job too – coaching New Directions.

There are more happy surprises in store, as Mercedes announces that she's been hired as the opening act for Beyoncé's world tour.

[related]We then spend the rest of the episode learning what becomes of the glee kids.

Rachel wins a Tony Award and is married to Jesse St. James, Kurt and Blaine are having a baby (and Rachel is their surrogate) and Tina and Artie are back together

Becky is a secret service agent tasked with guarding the vice president, which is none other than Sue - who plans to run for President in 2024.

The show closes with a performance from New Directions members past and present, singing One Republic's I Lived.

The final shot is a close-up of a new plaque adorning the auditorium, which reads: "The Finn Hudson Auditorium – See the world not as it is, but as it should be."

A perfect end to a brilliant show!
