Jane Lynch has revealed a host of Glee secrets in a recent television appearance.

The actress, who plays Glee arch-nemesis Sue Sylvester, was promoting the show on Jimmy Kimmel Live.

“We just celebrated the one hundredth [episode],” she told the host.

“We’ve been through so much together with some great highs and some really bad lows and we’re closer than ever.”

Jane revealed that in celebration of the milestone, the studio threw a party: “And they gave us an uneatable cake.”
“It’s like this big cake and I took a bite out of it, it’s like plastic,” she explained.

“The cake is not for eating but it looked delicious.”

She also revealed that a portion of the current series would take place away from Lima, Ohio, where the show is set.

But when Jimmy asked whether the scenes are actually filmed in the Big Apple, Jane quickly set the record straight: “No, no, no, we do fake New York in the Paramount lot.”

She also joked that having reached the hundredth episode of the musical comedy: “There are no songs left to sing.”

And when asked whether the show would be over when her character finally succeeds in getting rid of the Glee club she winked at the audience and quipped: “No, it’s not, because we have many episodes to fill.”
