Gonzo On Tour: The 'Light play an eletrifying one-off London gig...

Razorlight lived up to their reputation as the hottest band in the world with an amazing low-key Gonzo On Tour gig in London last night (October 15).

It was surreal seeing a band as huge as them on the tiny Camden Barfly stage and the space was so intimate (200 people packed in) you could see practically every bead of sweat trickling down singer Johnny Borrell's neck.

The guys kicked off with 'In The Morning' which, with its funky guitar and sing-along chorus set the tone for the night.

The heaving crowd got more and more excited as they jumped in unison to tune after tune. Recent No 1 'America' sounded stadium-sized huge while 'Golden Touch' had the crowd rocking to the band's early, punkier rhythms.

What frontman Johnny lacks in interaction with the crowd, he makes up for in charisma and style - the white two-piece of skinny jeans and v-neck t-shirt have now become his rock star trademark.

And rather than decrease his cool, the frontman's lack of eye contact and steely gaze into the middle distance make you feel you're almost watching an other-wordly being.

You won't see the band play a venue this small again - storming encore tracks 'LA Waltz' and 'Somewhere Else' pointed to stadium tours and eventual world domination.
