UK Launch Date For New Google Nexus 7 Revealed

The new Nexus 7 tablet computer will go on sale in the UK on 28 August, it has been revealed.

Manufacturer Asus held an event in London to reveal details of the eagerly anticipated new device - which was unveiled at a previous Googlepress event last month.

The 16GB version will be priced at £199 and it will be £239 for a 32GB model.

It has a 1920 x 1200 7-inch display and a meaty 1.5GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 Pro processor.

The full HD display will be covered by Corning Gorilla Glass - which is highly scratch resistant.
