Gorillaz To Play More UK Dates
EXCLUSIVE | Damon and Jamie speak to MTV News before tonight’s gig…

Damon Albarn has told MTV News that Gorillaz will play more UK live dates later this year- probably at the O2 Arena.
The animated group played their first London show in nine years last night and perform again at the Camden Roundhouse tonight. MTV will be streaming the gig live at http://gorillaz.mtv.com
Speaking to us in the build up to the shows the Blur singer said: “We’re hoping to do some stuff at the O2 (Arena) and I suppose this is the beginning of that process.
“Things will definitely change from this concert but this will establish the spirit of what we’re gonna do for the rest of the year.”
Gorillaz’ Plastic Beach album and live show features a wide range of collaborators in Bashy, Kano, Little Dragon, De La Soul and Shaun Ryder.
We also asked Albarn about how he got Mos Def and Bobby Womack on single Stylo. He explained:
“They were around in New York at the same and I always send out stuff (to other artists). I had a lot of material and I just allow people to choose what they want- I don’t tell people ‘you’ve got to do that.’”
