Gorillaz To Release Free One-Off Single With Converse

Gorillaz have confirmed plans to release a free one-off single, featuring OutKastrapper Andre 3000 and ex-LCD Soundsystem frontman, Damon Albarntrying his hand at rapping on two verses.

The former Blur star is also thought to have recorded an explicit 12-minute version of DoYaThing, which will be released at a later date.

As well as recording the track, the cartoon collective feature on four distinct designs for the footwear brand's Spring 2012 collection, which combine the iconic Chuck Taylor All Star silhouette with the band’s legendary graphic images.

Gorillaz co-creator Jamie Hewlett has also designed exclusive prints incorporating elements from their artwork and is currently working on the video for the song - which features two new characters.
