Kano told us he loves working with Gorillaz mainman Damon Albarn. He said: “It was great. No different from working with Damon on my track Feel Free (from the Kano album London Town). He's a genius. For real.

“It was exciting knowing it was for something so big and it was the first time me and Bashy had worked together - so that was cool too.”

In a separate interview Bashy also talked to MTV about the song - which features on the animated group’s new album Plastic Beach.

The UK rapper explained: “I’ve grown up listening to Gorillaz so for me to like be asked to be on the album is an honour.

“Working with Kano is cool too, obviously he’s from the same scene but we’ve never worked together on a track before and where like better to do it than on a Gorillaz project?”

Bashy himself stars in new film Shank and releases his new track When The Sky Falls later this month.
