Gorillaz have missed out on hitting the top spot after Ludacris’ new album sails to number 1 in the Billboard Chart.
Ludo's Battle of the Sexes shifted 137,000 copies to take the top spot, while Gorillaz third effort Plastic Beach sold a respectable 112,000 to take the second place.
It’s not all bad news for Gorillaz, Plastic Beach, which features the likes of Mos Def, Bobby Womack and Snoop Dogg, is their highest charting record in the US after 2005’s Demon Days.
