Gotham To Crossover With Another DC TV Show?
Fans reckon they've spotted a couple of sneaky easter eggs in Gotham - are they right? (Warning: this article contains mild spoilers…)
There's nothing a geek likes more than a good crossover, so it's no surprise that DC fans across the internet are going wild for this latest theory about Gotham.
Rumour has it that the Batman prequel series will crossover with Sky1's Arrow.
Eagle-eyed viewers in the States were enjoying episode 2 this week when they spotted an interesting building in the Gotham skyline.
A skyscraper marked by a distinctive bright green 'Q'. Could the 'Q' stand for Queen Consolidated? As in Arrow's Oliver Queen's company Queen Consolidated?
Fans were also preoccupied with the episode's villain - a man called The Dollmaker who drugged and abducted children.
This isn't the first time he's popped up on TV, you see. Arrow's second season featured a character named Barton Mathis, a serial killer who used a paralytic drug to turn his victims into dolls.
Now, we know that Gotham is set sometime before Arrow, The Flash and Batman, but could Gotham's Dollmaker be Arrow's Dollmaker's dad? Or is this all just a really confusing coincidence?
It's fan pleasing, certainly, but not really enough to confirm that the two shows are set in the same universe. After all, both take their inspiration from and share a wealth of comic book history, so they're likely to feature similar characters at some point.
Wouldn't it be brilliant if we were wrong, though?
Gotham comes to Channel 5 on Monday 13th October at 9pm.
