Beyoncé Dominates The 2017 Grammy Awards Nominations With Drake, Kanye & RiRi Close Behind

When life hands you lemons, make Lemonade and then collect a butt-tonne of awards. Beyoncé is UNSTOPPABLE having just topped the 2017 Grammy Awards nominations with nine nods, followed closely by Drake, Kanye West, Rihanna who are all nominated for eight.

Revealed earlier by Meghan Trainor, facing off for Album Of The Year are Adele's 25, Beyoncé's Lemonade, Justin Bieber's Purpose, Drake's Views and Sturgill Simpson's A Sailor's Guide To Earth, while Queen Bey and Adele both go head-to-head once more in the Record Of The Year and Song Of The Year categories too.

Can we take a minute to highlight Chance The Rapper's seven nominations too, please? He's up for Best New Artist, Best Rap Song ('No Problem') Best Rap Album (Coloring Book) and more. Fun fact: Coloring Book is the first streaming-only record to be recognised by the academy having not physical or digital download copies made available.

Elsewhere other congrats among the many categories go to twenty one pilots who grabbed five nominations and Justin Bieber with four. Plus there were posthumous nods for David Bowie and Prince.

With 24 non-consecutive weeks at No.1 in the US, Adele broke the record for the longest No.1 album by a woman in Billboard history beating Whitney Houston's 'The Bodyguard' soundtrack.
