Sony Pictures has put a movie project based on the Gran Turismovideogames into development, it has been revealed.
A film franchise based on the PlayStation's flagship driving games is to be developed by Fifty Shades Of Grey producers Mike De Luca and Dana Brunetti, The Wrap claims.
The revelation follows the news that DreamWorks is developing a film based on Electronic Arts' Need For Speed franchise - which will star Breaking Bad's Aaron Paul.
Both projects are believed to have been set in motion thanks to the success of the Fast & Furious movie series.
Gran Turismo 6 will be launching on the forthcoming PlayStation 4 console later this year.
