Green Day Turn Badass Bank Robbers In Their 'Bang Bang' Music Video

...or have they???

Green Day haveturned outlaws in their latestmusic video 'Bang Bang' in which the trio are seemingly seen staging a bank robbery. Or are they?

Directed by Tim Armstrong (the same Tim Armstrong from Rancid), the band posted the video on their Facebook page yesterday and in itthe band are identifiedon the national newsas three on-the-run masked robbers.Meanwhile we see the band rocking a house party to its core. But as the storylines intersect, not all is as it seems...

In an interview earlier this yearwith 'Rolling Stone', Billie Joe spoke about the meaning of the song saying:"It's about the culture of mass shooting that happens in America mixed with narcissistic social media. There's this sort of rage happening, but it's also now being filmed and we all have ourselves under surveillance. To me, that is so twisted. To get into the brain of someone like that was freaky. It freaked me out. After I wrote it, all I wanted to do was get that out of my brain because it just freaked me out."

'Bang Bang' is the lead single taken from Green Day's forthcoming 12th studio album 'Revolution Radio', due out next month and you'll be able to see the band live in the UK next February here:

Feb 5th - Leeds First Direct Arena
Feb 6th - Manchester Arena
