Green Day To Play Reading & Leeds Warm-Up Gig

Band will rock London's Brixton Academy next Wednesday night...

Green Day have announced a warm-up show ahead of playing the legendary festival.

Frontman Billie Joe Armstrong, bassist Mike Dirnt and drummer Tré Cool will perform at Brixton Academy on Wednesday, August 21.
The American group – whose last London show broke the attendance record at Emirates Stadium earlier this summer – top the bill at Reading on Friday, August 23 and its sister site in Leeds on the Saturday.
Last year the band played a surprise one-hour set at Reading Festival, rocking the Radio 1/NME stage at 11am in front of thousands of fans.
Tickets for Green Day’s warm-up gig go on general sale this Wednesday, August 14 at 9am.
