Green Day have scooped the Best Video award at last night's Shockwaves NME Awards 2005.
The punk trio came out on top from a shortlist also featuring Franz Ferdinand, Beastie Boys, Eminem and The Streets. Scottish rockers Franz Ferdinand claimed two gongs at the event, which was held at London's Hammersmith Palais. The band have walked away with Best Album award for their self-titled debut album and Best Track for Take Me Out.
