Green Day's Billie Joe Turns The Air Blue At Festival

Furious frontman launches angry tirade, smashes guitar as set is shortened...

Green Day frontman Billie Joe Armstrong launched into a foul-mouthed tirade at a US music festival, it has been reported.

The band were performing at the iHeartRadio annual festival in Las Vegas when it became apparent that their set was to be shortened by 20 minutes to allow more room for Usher.

When he noticed that they had just one minute left on stage, Armstrong promptly stopped mid-song before unleashing his fury.

According to the Daily Mail, Billie Joe began: "You're going to give me one minute? One f***ing minute? I've been around since f***ing nineteen eighty f***ing eight and you're going to give me one f***ing minute?

"I'm not f***ing Justin Bieber, you motherf***ers."

After more than 20 expletives within that final minute, organisers turned Armstrong's mic off.

But not content with turning the air blue, the furious frontman proceeded to smash up his guitar before announcing: "God f***ing love you all. We'll be back."
