G.R.L Star Simone Battle's Death Ruled As Suicide
LA coroner confirms the former X Factor USA contestant was found hanged at her home on Friday...
The cause of her passing was determined by a Los Angeles coroner on Sunday (September 7), two days after her body was found in her West Hollywood apartment by her father.
County Coroner's Lieutenant Fred Corral revealed that the star was found hanged.
Her father Anthony later expressed his disbelief over the 25-year old's death, telling TMZ that Simone never showed any sign of depression.
He went on to add that although he hadn't spoken to her on the phone, they were in regular contact over text, adding that she may have had an "invisible disability". G.R.L - whose debut UK single Ugly Heart reach No.11 on the chart yesterday - have since vowed to carry on following her death, writing: "Words cannot express the depth of our loss.
"Simone's incredible talent was only surpassed by the size of her heart. We will carry her memory with us in everything we do."
In wake of the sad news, the group have been forced to cancel an intimate gig at Marquee nightclub in Las Vegas tonight (September 8), with an official statement from Nova Entertainment reading: "We are deeply saddened and shocked by the news about G.R.L band member Simone Battle and our thoughts are with her loved ones.
"We appreciate this is a sensitive time and we would like to respect the privacy of all involved."
