Guardians Of The Galaxy To Meet Avengers?

Marvel superhero teams likely to collide according to director James Gunn...

The director of Guardians Of The Galaxy has suggested that the characters in his movie will feature in a crossover project with the Avengers.

Speaking to Digital Spy during the build-up to Guardians' UK release next Friday, James Gunn was asked if his characters would be teaming up with Iron Man, Thor et al to take on cosmic villain Thanos.

"I think there's certainly a decent chance that either some of the Guardians and some of the Avengers or the Guardians and the Avengers or some permutation of that, they'll meet at some point in time," he conceded.

"Whether or not it's gonna be then, we'll have to see."

And he also talked about a possible GOTG sequel.

"I've been thinking about a sequel from the beginning... I wanted it to work as a movie by itself, but I also wanted it to help set up a whole galaxy of characters that we could play with in different ways.

"And so I have tons of ideas of things that we could do. We'll just have to see how things go."
