Guns N’ Roses Cause Chaos At Reading Festival

While Libertines feel the love in Leeds…

Reading Festivalwas abruptly cut short after the band overran the curfew by more than an hour.

Axl Rose and his band had arrived on stage at 10.30pm, an hour later than scheduled. Highlights of their set included classic GNR hits Pete Doherty and Carl Baratplaying their first festival performance together since the band split six years ago.

The excitement was such that there were safety fears for fans at the front of the stage, and the two singers briefly halted the show after three songs to allow things to calm down.

Doherty and Barat have clearly sorted out their differences – they shared a single mic during crowd favourite Music When The Lights Go Out and embraced three times at the end of the hour-long set. Other highlights included Don’t Look Back Into The Sun, Can’t Stand Me Now and show closer I Get Along.
