Gwen's Keane On Her New Album
Gwen Stefani announces an A-List of collaborators for her new album...
Gwen Stefani has worked with some big names on her new album, 'The Sweet Escape,' but none can be more surprising that Keane pianist Tim Rice-Oxley.
The former No Doubt lead singers new release, which was delayed by the birth of her son last year, sees her collaborating with a host of todays top talent including Pharell Williams, Akon and Beyonce and songwriter Swizz Beatz.
In fact, she was so overrun with options that shes left collaborations with Courtney Love and Depeche Modes Martin Gore off the final press.
In a statement to MTV News US this week, she said: "This album is surprisingly different than the last one. I started recording it last year before Kingston (her son) was born and it's definitely evolved. The dance sound is very 'now.' It's modern... not so retro."
Its looking like a Pharrell Williams-produced track Wind It Up will be the first single from the album, though with Gwen being who she is, itll be interesting to see what she does with Rice-Oxleys soaring piano lines
The album is due for release December 4 2006.
