Hailee Steinfeld Sets The Record Straight On Those Niall Horan Dating Rumours

Hailee Steinfeld has had her say on those rumours that she and Niall Horan might be dating after a bunch of fans suggested that their friendship had recently blossomed into something more.

The rumours all kicked off after the former One Direction member took to Instagram on Hailee’s 21st birthday with a gushing tribute in honour of the “loveliest” person on Planet Earth.

At the time, fans flooded the comments section with a bunch of love-heart emojis and all but declared the pair “the ship of dreams” that the majority of both fandoms would be happy to climb aboard. 

But when prompted about the relationship rumours by Us Weekly, Hailee had something interesting (and sort of evasive) to say about all the speculation. 

“I feel so lucky that [my fans] care enough about me to know what I’m doing every second of every day, but I think that sometimes it’s hard for people in general to realize that there are boundaries to a person’s life and personal life," she began.

Hailee went on to say that she’s a very “private” person by nature, but added: "I do love that I have the opportunity to share with them what I’m comfortable with and they’re there to listen and support me."

It sounds like these two are just friends, but it’s pretty safe to assume that Hailee won’t be gushing about future romances on the red-carpet anytime soon.
