The fact that Sophie Turner and Joe Jonas are engaged is enough to keep us excited for the rest of our lives, but now we’ve discovered that pop princess Hailee Steinfeld set them up we’re all but screaming from the rooftops.

Yep, according to the singer herself she’s the one who actually encouraged the Game of Thrones actress to ‘go for it’ with the DNCE frontman. So yeah, we all owe Hailee a lot.

Hailee and Sophie have been friends forever, so when asked if she’s ever played matchmaker for her famous pals she told Smallzy’s Surgery show that yes, she has.

“I mean, I will say, I did get that text from Sophie being like, ‘So tell me about Joe,’ and I was like, ‘Go for it!’” Elle reports.

“I actually just saw them both for the first time since they got engaged; I saw them together,” she added. “And yeah, I mean, I’m freaking out about it.” Same.

But Hailee isn’t the only famous who is thrilled about the whole thing, with Nick Jonas having previously told Entertainment Tonight:“As someone that knows [Joe] very well, I can tell you that he found his partner and the love of his life,” he said. “That's all that matters. It's a beautiful thing.”
