You’ve Got To See This Halo Mannequin Challenge
Best one yet?
Another day, another kick-ass mannequin challenge. This time it’s the gaming geniuses behind the Halo games that are holding poses for the camera.
The mannequin challenge is the current video craze storming YouTube, similar to the Harlem Shake. It involves everyone on camera holding a pose as if time has stopped as the camera moves around, kind of giving a virtual reality feel to the experience.
The team at 343 Industries, and there’s a whole bunch of them, have clearly spent a lot of time planning their mannequin challenge and it's paid off! As part of Halo’s 15th anniversary, 343 Industries has uploaded the video showing off just what happens behind the closed doors of a leading game developer studio.
As you can imagine there are a lot of people mid battle with weapons of all sorts - mainly from the Halo game, of course. Yes there’s lots of people gaming too - not so many actually coding though, luckily.
Also as part of the Halo 15 year anniversary Microsoft has released some stats that should shock:
Number of players: 222,468,423
Number of total gaming hours: 100,539,390,670
Number of total multiplayer hours: 29,000,304,183
Number of Achievements unlocked: 32,667,582,157
Gamerscore racked up: 572,605,554,587
Highest Gamerscore: 1,416,465
Number of Xbox Live friendships made: 4,233,891,482
