Halsey Is Back With Intense Directorial Debut For ‘Now Or Never’

Cars, gangs and a shootout - Halsey is back with a BANG.

Halsey is back!

Earlier this week, the ‘New Americana’ singer dropped the artwork for 'hopeless fountain kingdom' – the follow-up to 2015’s 'Badlands',and now we have our first taste of that album in the shape of the' intense' music video ‘Now or Never’.

"[The video] is one part in the centre of a long narrative that tells the story of two people in love despite the forces trying to keep them apart," Halsey explained.

"On its own, the song is about two impatient lovers, but in the context of thehopeless fountain kingdom universe, the stakes are much higher for these two star-crossed lovers."

“I want you to love me now now now now now, now or never” Halsey sings over moody, measured, stripped-back production. The music video, co-directed by Sing J lee and Halsey (in her directorial debut) features gangs, cars, card readers and an intense shootout to cap it all off.

Right now, other than the artwork and that the new album will be coming in June, details – just like the production on ‘Now or Never – are sparse. As soon as we have more, we’ll update you.
