Harry Potter And The Cursed Child Movie On The Way?
Not been able to magic yourself up a ticket to the sold-out stage production Harry Potter And The Cursed Child? Well fear not muggle, because Warner Bros. just might be bringing J.K. Rowling’s long-awaited sequel to the big screen after all!
Eagle-eyed Potter-watchers have noticed that the studio has just taken out a trademark for the title, which would cover motion picture adaptations and their ensuing merchandise. Now, obviously this isn’t a guarantee that a film is on the way, but it certainly looks as though the conversation is being had over at Warner…
The new play picks up some 19 years after the events of Deathly Hallows pt. 2, and follows the now-grown-up Harry, Ron and Hermione and their respective children. Of course, Warner’s trademarking might just be the precursor to a live broadcast of one of the performances, but given the appetite for all things Potter, we’d be surprised if a full-blown adaptation wasn’t on the cards.
In the meantime, fans can get their next dose of wizardry and witchcraft from Fantastic Beasts And Where To Find Them which opens in cinemas on 18 November 2016.
