Harry Potter West End Stage Show 'In Pipeline'
JK Rowling reported to be on board as producer on project...
A West End stage show based on the Harry Potterbooks is set to open within two years, it has been reported.
The JK Rowling is on board as a producer on the project, working with an established playwright.
And the newspaper claims that the show will focus on the boy wizard's early life - covering the events leading up to the first book in the seven-instalment series.
A statement sent to the newspaper's Baz Bamigboye explained that the show will tell "the previously untold story of Harry Potter's early years as an orphan and outcast".
And it also promises to "offer a unique insight into the heart and mind of the now legendary young wizard. A seemingly ordinary boy, but one for whom destiny has plans..."
Successful stage producers Sonia Friedman and Colin Callender are reported to be the driving force behind the planned show.
It was revealed earlier this year that Rowling is also working on a new Potter-related movie.
