UPDATE: JK Rowling has taken to Twitter to denyreports that a Cursed Child movie is in the works.

If you’d have been willing to brew an entire batch of Felix Felicis in the hopes it'dhelp you get tickets to The Cursed Child play, there’s actually much easier, movie-basedsolution at your fingertips.

New details are said to have leaked about an entire *trilogy* of filmsbeing made about The Cursed Child play, and what’s even better - the main cast are said to be on board with returning. Magic is real.

Even though Fantastic Beasts And Where To Find Them still has four films lined up in production, Warner Bros are apparentlyalready looking to the future about getting another Harry Potter series adapted.

A journalist and historian called Jim Hill - who has contacts with the film departments atDisney and Universal, has effectively leaked the Cursed Child planswith theUnofficial Universal Orlando Podcast.

Yeah, probably a visual on Jim's face rn:

Jim shared: "I have heard that Warner Bros has actually had conversations with [Emma], with Rupert, and, of course, Daniel about Cursed Child, because they want this to be, for lack of a better term, Harry Potter: The Force Awakens.They want this trilogy of movies to have the actors that we know and love from the original films, that we watched grow up, as adults."

Adding that the studios would be hiring fresh faces for the roles of Albus, Scorpiusand co, he continued: “And, of course, they're hiring a bunch of new, younger actors to play their children with the hope that, if we can lean on JK [Rowling], maybe there'll be The Cursed Adolescent."

If you’re wondering where this fits in with the Fantastic Beasts schedule, the aim is to release the first Cursed Child movie in 2026 -two years after the final Fantastic Beasts film hits screens.
