Tom Felton Quizzed by Filmclub

The Harry Potter star supports the after-school scheme

Hundreds of lucky school children across the UK enjoyed a once-in-a-lifetime chance to quiz Harry Potter star Tom Felton, when the celebrity-backed after-school scheme Filmclub hosted its first ever webcast.
During the webcast Tom, who is known for his role as Harry Potters’ arch-enemy Draco Malfoy, was asked a selection of magical questions from the sorting hat by Filmclubbers.
Filmclub memebers from all over the UK logged on with their teacher and classmates to watch the exclusive webcast, and were joined by a worldwide community, with fans from Europe, Asia and America also tuning in.
The webcast enabled Filmclub’s 100,000 strong membership to watch the special event, and was arranged as part of the initiative’s Close Encounters programme that enables school children to interact with film industry professionals.
During the webchat, Tom revealed that his other great love alongside acting is making music with his band, and declared himself a fan of The Beatles and Oasis.
Asked by one Filmclubber what he's like to do if he wasn't an actor, he answered,
"Something to do with music would be fantastic as I’m a massive fan of anything creative. Music and acting have been the two channels that I really took a shine to straight away. I love anything in the whole creative, entertainment industry. It’s a really interesting one and, as you know, no two days are the same; but it’s always good fun!."
And who would he most like to work with?
"I feel like I’ve been really, really privileged with the people that I have worked with, so there are so many people that I have worked with that I’d love to again. Certainly all the directors that we’ve worked with over the years. I’d love to work with Tom Hanks. Maybe not even in a film together, but I know he wrote a film called That Thing You Do - a film that I would vastly recommend. It’s a beautiful story about a young band in America, and I’d love to do something like that, with him."
