Harry Styles’ First Solo Single Sounds Like It ‘Could Be A Smash In Any Decade’
Including the future.
As we edge closer towards living in a world where there is a Harry Styles solo album, there are more and more rumours circulating as to what exactly it’s going to sound like.
With it reported that his new music could drop as early as next month, industry mag Hits Daily Double’s Rumour Mill have claimed it’s heavily influenced by ‘70s British Rock’.
“In marked contrast to One Direction’s production by committee, Styles has crafted a set that recalls the regal high-water mark of ’70s British rock, Bowie and Queen in particular,” the website claims.
“The lead single, which could come out as soon as late April or early May, sounds like it would be a smash in any decade.”
Okay so we all need to go back and listen to Bowie’s entire catalogue of music immediately.
While CEO of Columbia Records Rob Stringer added that they’re keen to make this a huge a success as possible, hoping Harry will be in it for the long haul.
“We’re close and we’re very excited,” Stringer said of the project. “We have a record we’re incredibly excited about and it’s not far away from being ready. We obviously want everything to be beautifully done because we think he’s here to stay. Harry has stepped up with the vision of someone who’s authentic.”
Hurry up, Styles.
