Harry Styles Lands His First Proper Film Role
Don't forget us when you're in Hollywood, Haz.
Keeping up with what One Direction during their hiatus is proving trickier than trying to herd a group of bees into a kennel, what with Louis Tomlinson off being an actual dad, Niall Horan setting up his own golf management company and Liam Payne reportedly striking up a romance with Cheryl.
Then there's Harry Styles, who has, according to reports, been offered his first major film acting role in Christopher Nolan’s Dunkirk, alongside Tom Hardy, Sir Kenneth Branagh and Mark Rylance.
According to Deadline, Harry impressed filmmakers with his readings for a part in the film, which will focus on the World War II evacuation of Allied forces from Dunkirk in May-June 1940.
A source also told The Sun: “Harry has gone straight in at the top. Dunkirk will be massive.
“He was asked to audition for the part — which will be substantial — and impressed Christopher. This is now a great chance for him to show his acting skills and put himself in the frame for more huge movie roles."
Luckily, though, this doesn't mean Harry's looking to wave goodbye to music anytime soon (PHEW), with the source adding: “But music is still very much on his agenda and he would like to do both going forward.”
Congrats, Harry! Just don't forget us when you're a big ol' Hollywood megastar, please.
