Harry Styles Opens Up About Sexuality: “Everyone Should Just Be Who They Want To Be”
Someone write that down.
In between announcing surprise gigs in London and wearing as many pairs of satin trousers as possible, Harry Styles has been getting his promo on for his debut album.
But not always do the interviews he’s been taking part in focus on the music, with his latest one actually taking a turn to ask about his sexuality.
Chatting about how Miley Cyrus recently opened up about her own pansexuality, Harry was asked what his thoughts on the headlines are.
“Being in a creative field, it’s important to be progressive. People doing stuff like that is great,” he told The Sun.
“It’s weird for me — everyone should just be who they want to be. It’s tough to justify somebody having to answer to someone else about stuff like that.”
But alas the reporter wasn’t happy with that answer, asking one more time if he’s ever ‘personally labeled his sexuality?’
“No, I’ve never felt the need to really. No. I don’t feel like it’s something I’ve ever felt like I have to explain about myself.”
We couldn’t have put it better ourselves. Though it didn't stop there as he was further questioned about his love life, as he was asked if he's on any dating apps and how he deals with dating as a famous person.
“No, I’m not on Tinder! I don’t really know. I try not to overthink too much. I don’t really talk about it I guess.
“The rollercoaster affects different people in different ways. One of the ways that helps me dealing with that is compartmentalising between working."
Fine, we'll just continue to guess as to whether he's actually dating Tess Ward.
