Harry Styles has sent Directioners into a frenzy after appearing to hint he isn't bothered by gender when it comes to having a relationship.

During an interview with ODE, Hazza and One Direction bandmate Liam Payne were quizzed about what they look for in a prospective girlfriend, with Styles' answer sparking speculation that he doesn't care either way... as long as they're nice!

When posed with the question, Liam replied: "Female… that’s a good trait.”

In response to his pal, Harry can then be seen sniggering in the video interview and replying: "Not that important.”

Styles went on to add: "I would say sense of humour and like natural. Someone who’s nice… you’re not going to go out with a d****** are you?”

[related]While the Steal My Girl singer is yet to clarify his comments, Hazza previously denied rumours that he was bisexual during an interview with GQ mag last year.

Speaking of his close relationship with Nick Grimshaw, he replied: "Oh, really? I didn’t even know. We’re not dating, no. We’re just friends."

When asked whether if he isbisexual, Harry quipped: "Bisexual? Me? I don’t think so. I’m pretty sure I’m not."

It seems the jury might still be out on this one…
