Hayden Panettiere has confirmed she's engaged to her longtime boyfriend Wladimir Klitschko.

The Nashville actress made the announcement today (October 9) during an appearance on Live With Kelly And Michael.

The 24-year-old actress came on to set with a live boa constrictor draped around her neck - but it wasn't the snake that caught host Kelly Ripa's eye!

She said: "I'm sort of distracted, not just by the snake, but there's a very large diamond ring on your ring finger.

"I'm not sure if you want to announce anything...Does that signify anything, is that a promise ring or something?"

Panettiere coyly responded: "It might be ... I mean, I think it speaks for itself."

Ripa then asked the blonde beauty whether she was engaged, to which Hayden happily replied: "I am."

The former Heroes star has been dating her boxer beau Klitschko since 2009. The pair split briefly in 2011 but reunited last spring.

The couple have previously found themselves at the centre of engagement rumours, most recently after Panettiere was seen sporting a rock on her ring finger at LAX in August.
