We were having a hard enough time dealing with the fact that the mega-hyped upcoming Friends reunion isn’t actually a reunion in the slightest.

And NOW we have to accept the fact that while there’s going to be a 10 year anniversary special for the cast of High School Musical, Zac Efron isn’t going to be involved.

WHY ARE YOU DOING THIS TO US, ZAC?

The big news broke on Sunday (January 17), when the likes of Vanessa Hudgens, Corbin Bleu and Ashley Tisdale all revealed the big surprise.

But while Lucas Grabeel and Monique Coleman will also be joining in on the TV reunion, which will air on the Disney Channel on January 20, it seems Troy Bolton is just a little too busy.

Despite reports that Zac will be sending a pre-recorded message for the show, people of the Internet are NOT happy – and naturally, it’s all become quite hilarious.
