Hilary Duff Reveals She’s On Tinder. Please Take Note, Zac Efron
Can every other celebrity follow suit, please?
Forget ‘A Cinderella Story’ (the 2004 classic), it’s all about Hilary Duff’s Tinder-ella story now, because the star has revealed she’s signed herself up to the infamous dating app.
That’s right, while Hilary is currently dealing with a divorce from her husband Mike Comrie, with whom they have a son, she’s been embracing the single life – and what better way than with a bit of Tinder action, eh?
Hilary confirmed her profile was real on Ryan Seacrest’s KIIS FM radio show on Tuesday (April 28), saying, “It’s totally me”.
“It kind of started out to be a joke with my girlfriends. I was like, ‘Explain this whole thing to me because it’s kind of blowing my mind.’
“We were swiping and it started out to be kind of a joke and I was like, ‘I’m gonna join Tinder’, and they were like, ‘What?! No way, you can’t’.
“And I was like, ‘Why can’t I? Yeah, I absolutely can’. I never thought anything was really going to happen [but] I was talking to a few of the guys and they were really normal.”
Hils even told Ryan that she had a date earlier in the week with a guy named Tom. Their activity of choice? Bowling, of course.
Apparently it went well enough, too, because Hilary’s off on ANOTHER date with a new guy soon.
“I’m just a Tinder animal”, she joked. “I had my Tinder training wheels on for my first date. Now it’s smooth sailing.”
Also chatting to E! about her app adventures, Hilary reckons some guys don’t realise who she is, saying: “I think some people know. You only have your first name.
“Some people don’t know and I think some people act like they don’t know but they do. And a lot of people are like, ‘This is a joke, right?’”
And in case anyone is hoping that Hilary will swipe right for them, she’s shared her tips to avoid the dreaded left rejection.
“I think the first thing is obviously looks, which sounds super vain, but that is what you first go for: natural chemistry.
“Also, what they say in their profile has to be funny. I don’t want to see a shirtless, mirror selfie. That is instantly a left.”
