Geordie Shore star Holly Hagan has revealed she considered extreme measures to lose weight after she received abusive messages online and “nothing seemed to be working".

The reality star, 23, who has re-released her Body Bible for 2016,has dropped from a size 16-18 to an 8-10 over the past couple of years.

But now she'sadmitted she nearly opted for a surgical procedure after she was attacked by trolls online.

Speaking to MTV, Holly said: "I was obviously self-conscious about my weight anyway, and kept trying to diet and lose the weight with no success."

"I started considering the extreme treatments when nothing else seemed to be working. But the final straw came when I was at my biggest.I let the online trolls get to me, which I know I shouldn't have.”

"I was that upset and uncomfortable with my size that I went to a surgeon to see about getting liposuction, but when it came to deciding the date of the treatment I chickened out."

"Luckily that's when I found carb cycling and it's all been up from there."

She added: "I felt so bad about myself and the way my body looked that I considered every kind of extreme diet and exercise plan.”

Holly’s saviour came in her discovery of carb cycling, which now forms the backbone of her Body Bible.

The 2015 version of her book sold over 75,000 copies andthe newly-released 2016 version is updated with new recipes and success stories.

Last week, Holly posted a before and after photo of her weightloss journey with the caption "It's crazy looking back at how far I've come".

Asking Holly if she feels body confident at the moment, the curvaceous beauty told us:“I don’t think any woman is 100% happy with how she looks. Especially in the job that I do I’m always going to fluctuate in weight.

I’m getting there. I’ve started healthy eating and exercising again. Hopefully I’m on the right track for summer."

Right on Hols. Healthy body, healthy mind.
