"I Compare My Body To Charlotte & Marnie's!" Holly Hagan On Her Twitter Haters & Competition With The Geordie Shore Lasses

The Geordie Shore star reveals how horrible comments pushed her to be healthier…

Holly Hagan has endured a fair amount of abuse over the years. But it's still shocking to hear the comments that followers leave for her on Twitter and Instagram.

She's determined to rise above it, though.

In the final part of our interview with the Geordie Shore star, Holly told us about the horrible things she has read about herself online: "I had people say, 'You're so fat', 'How could they pick somebody as ugly as you?', 'You should just go and kill yourself now'.

"I've had absolutely awful, awful comments. Those people obviously genuinely thinks we don't care, but sometimes you do see those comments and they are going to hurt. We are still human. Just because I'm on the telly doesn't mean I don't have emotions."

While the trolls pushed Holly into doing something about her unhealthy lifestyle, she's adamant that she didn't start losing weight for the sake of the haters.

"I wasn't healthy, I couldn't do any exercise," she said. "The clothes that I was trying to put on - I looked like I was wrapped in duct tape because I just couldn't dress for my figure.

"I think, to be honest, had I have dressed in a better way, maybe I wouldn't have looked so bad. But I was trying to dress like a size eight when I wasn't."

"Charlotte and Marnie have completely different figures. But I compare my body to them all the time," she admitted.

"If I was getting too skinny, there's people there who would tell me. At one point… I was being quite strict with myself. I was moody. Me and Kyle were having problems, I was biting his head off all the time. I was crying all the time - just because of basic lack of food. I just wasn't putting into my body what it needed which meant I couldn't be happy.

"You have just got to take a step back and think, 'I'm healthy, I'm happy. I don't need to lose any more. You've got to get your head into that space because if you don't, it can have drastic effects."
