Honey G Attacked On X Factor During Dramatic Live Stage Invasion

X Factor contestant Honey G was attacked by members of prankster group Trollstation during Louis Loves week on The X Factor 2016

Honey G’s bid for X Factor victory hit it’s biggest stumbling bloc yet on Saturday night when pranksters invaded her stage performance.

The 35-year-old Rap Artist(real name Anna Gilford) had just given a rousing mash up of MC Hammer classic Can’t Touch This blended seamlessly with the Rick James track Super Freak.

But then some freaky stage invaders decided they would indeed try and touch Honey as they stormed the stage and grabbed her by the shoulders as the judges were giving her feedback.

Simon Cowell was shocked, Nicole Scherzinger leapt to her feet, Sharon Osbourne stifled a laugh, and Louis Walsh kept giving his feedback a bit like nothing was really happening.

Online pranksters Trollstation have since claimed responsibility – with the MailOnline claiming a convicted criminal was among the group and was the one that successfully grabbed the Honey.

Viewers were up in arms at the attack, with one on Twitter asking: “Was somebody trying to assassinate Honey G? You’d think she was Donald Trump”.

While others suggested the whole stunt could have been staged, with even on saying on Twitter: “Simon Cowell has lost every last bit of respect I had for him.”

However others have claimed the attack was genuine – with 5 News correspondent Julain Druker saying from the scene on Twitter: “Inquiry going on in studio as to how invaders got in.”

Blimey.

It was quite the night for Honey G as she – and the studio audience – attempted an ambitious version of the Mannequin Challenge live – with terrific results.

Will she take one step closer to the X Factor crown? And will she ever Tweet back Scotty T? Time will tell…
