HTC One Smartphone Revealed

Manufacturer trumpets 'iPhone 5-beating' spec of new device...

Smartphone firm HTC has unveiled its latest handset - dubbed the HTC One.
Powered by a Quadcore Qualcomm Snapdragon, the phone operates at 1.7GHz and contains 2GB of RAM as standard - with options for 32GB or 64GB of storage.

The handset features a 4.7in screen which runs in full HD at a resolution of 468 pixels per inch, which HTC points out is significantly higher than the Apple iPhone 5's 326ppi.
Running on Google's Android Jelly Bean operating system, the phone is 4G enabled and also features two front-mounted speakers to provide stereo sound.
Although the camera has just four megapixels' resolution, the company claims that it uses "ultra pixels" and excels in low-light condition photography.
Three will be offering the device in the UK from this Friday, while Vodafone will be offering it from 15 March.
