Hugh Jackman Wriggles Out Of Houdini Movie

But X-Men star and musical's producers part ways on good terms...

Hugh Jackman has departed from the cast of a musical version of the story of legendary escape artist Harry Houdini.
The Les Miserables and X-Men star had been attached to the project since 2012, but now follows writer Aaron Sorkin in exiting the production.
He said in a statement: "I have greatly enjoyed the collaborative process on Houdini. Ultimately, though, I wasn't able to commit to the time this role will require.
"I have tremendous respect and admiration for the creative team and I wish everyone the best. I know they're well on their way to making something extraordinary."
And lead producer Scott Sanders commented: "Hugh has been terrific to have on this part of the journey.
"We will continue to move forward with our remarkable creative team, as they craft this ambitious new musical."

Hugh reportedly narrowly missed the [uuid=00b12ef6-4f43-4b91-8316-eae652397390]chance to record a duet with Robbie Williams[/uuid].
